Reading through these posts, it appears that the drops are related to the class you are playing...If any necromancers ever need any max stat gear, I'm your guy to see - I usually just give it to the merchant, as I despise trading.

you always get the items that you dont want, like others always have what you desire, and since necros are barely played, necro items are remembered most, but its only subjective!!!

I think it's probably just a case of the things that are most annoying sticking in your mind.
If you've got no use for necromancer items, then you remember whenever you find one because you say "Oh no, not another useless item"

I get a lot of Necro gear with my Mo/Me, but mostly what I find is hammers. Lots. And lots. Of Hammers. For the love of god, ENOUGH WITH THE HAMMERS!!

That, and when I'm quesitng/missioning with a group in Kryta, 95% of the drops I pull are Decayed Orr Emblems. I once pulled TWENTY FOUR in one mission.

Loot is weighted against whatever class you are. My Ranger took 100+ hours to get a max damage bow, my Necro got 2 of them before reaching Yak's Bend.

Take 5 avicara scalps north of Camp Rankor (I think). There is a collector that gives an Idol (very nondescript name) that has +12 E and +20% on casting and recharge for death skills

Take a full team of smart 20s with you. Its tough. Its the same zone that has a boss/elite for every class. I got my ascalon bow there at the 3rd collector on the other side. 5 alpine seeds for 15-28 and +15% hp>50%

With this , i would have to agree, Azure shadows / smite crawlers = smiting staffs. (by the dozen it seems) Crown of thorns/ or any of those types = healing and protective icons
Drakes / Grand Drakes elementalist staff/wand of whatever . . . and so on and so on.

Maybe someone can tell me what zone they are getting Gold Max damage bow drops.
I have been farming the Jade Bows in ring of Fire for weeks and have yet to see 1 bow drop. I have acquired 20 skill points after acheiving level 20(done all missions). This would make me a level 40 in exp if levels went that high. AND I have only gotten 1 major rune drop, 1 purple bow drop(longbow) and 2 bowstrings(vampiric) in all that killing.

I only use 2 henchman while I farm. I think the drop rates are terrible, since all I really want to do is find a Zealous bow string and find a gold max damage short bow. I'm tired of getting elemental wands and cestas.
